Forward Shane Harper has been named the Chicago Wolves’ Dan Snyder Man of the Year in recognition of his enthusiastic commitment to Chicago-area charities and the community throughout the 2014-15 season.

The Chicago Wolves enter the final weekend of the season with a game against in-state rival Rockford, pitting two of the Western Conference’s hottest teams against each other. Since their last meeting on March 15, the Wolves have posted a 10-3-0-0 record while the IceHogs have gone 11-3-0-0.

April 18th will be Gift of Hope Night at the Allstate Arena when the Wolves take on Milwaukee at 7pm.  The mission of Gift of Hope is simple: to save and enhance the lives of as many people as possible through organ and tissue donation. They did so by providing a record 1,024 lifesaving organs for transplant in 2014, and provided life-enhancing tissue for more than 50,000 people.

With three wins in four games last week, the Chicago Wolves clinched a spot in the 2015 Calder Cup Playoffs. With their odds of making the postseason at less than 30 percent (according to Sports Club Stats) just one month ago, the team has posted 10 wins in its last 12 games to jump from No. 11 in the Western Conference to No. 7. With three games remaining in the Wolves’ regular-season slate, Chicago has the opportunity to move up as high as the No. 5 seed. The Wolves close out their schedule with a trip to Rockford on Friday before hosting Milwaukee on Saturday and Toronto on Sunday. The team will learn its playoff opponent and schedule following the regular-season finale against the Marlies.
