Pinizzotto Gets the Call from Vancouver

The Vancouver Canucks have recalled forward Steve Pinizzotto from the Chicago Wolves.

PINIZZOTTO has tallied 4 goals, 12 points, and 29 penalty minutes in 24 contests with the Wolves this season, which includes 2 assists in seven tilts during his two-week conditioning stint with Chicago from Feb. 28 to March 13.

The 28-year-old forward missed the entire 2011-12 season due to an injury he suffered in a Vancouver Canucks preseason matchup on Sept. 25, 2011.

The Mississauga, Ontario, native has amassed 38 goals, 72 assists, 110 points, and 408 penalty minutes in 234 career AHL outings with Chicago and the Hershey Bears spanning six seasons (2006-11; 12-13). He also has posted 17 points (10G, 7A) and 80 penalty minutes in 53 postseason tilts with the Bears and was a part of Hershey’s 2009 and 2010 Calder Cup championship teams.

The Wolves travel to Rockford for an Illinois Lottery Cup contest against the IceHogs at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 15. For more information, or to buy tickets to Wolves home games, visit or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
